Pam: Getting Her Health Back With Progress Not Perfection!

Pam SANEBefore joining SANE, my biggest challenges were my health concerns. I was diagnosed with diabetes, a certain stage of fatty liver, and my hormones seemed to be out of balance.

I reached the breaking point after losing weight on another program and then putting it all back on, plus more! I was looking to find something that could help me break that cycle.

I then began taking steps towards eating differently, doing the Step by Step program, and communicating with members in the SANE community. Since then, my weight and clothing sizes have decreased.. It’s nice to know that what I’m doing is actually making a difference.

A typical day of SANE eating looks like this: I eat eggs with veggies for breakfast. For lunch, I have meat and salad at mom’s house. For dinner, I prepare some type of meat with stir-fry.

My success is due, in part, to SANE’s “progress not perfection” philosophy. It is something I see on my work desk first thing every morning and it helps me throughout the day!

The coaches have also played a role in my success. They have helped to reassure me during times of doubt. One coach shared this with me, “It is no longer a matter of ‘if’, it is only a matter of ‘when'”. That became very important for me.

If I could talk to myself 3 or 4 years before I began my SANE journey, I would say, “ “Stop rushing around so much from one thing to the next. Pause, and plan. Change your mindset so that you can figure it out!”

Now that I have gone SANE, life is good! I can fit into my old clothes and that feels great!
