Citicoline is a naturally occurring chemical compound in the body. It is composed of choline and cytidine and is present in every cell of your body, especially the brain.
You might see it mentioned as citicoline sodium, though this is a slightly different form than pure citicoline. It may also be written as CDB-Choline or cytidine-5′-diphosphocholine. The most bioavailable branded form of it, and the one I recommend, is Cognizin©.
