Seven years ago my husband, Sam, passed away. In the first year after his death, I lost seventy pounds and kept it off for a year.
Then I moved into a senior apartment. They serve desserts frequently—cake or cookies sometimes as often as three times a day.
My first years I gained forty pounds. I tried several diets over the next few years and was eventually diagnosed as prediabetic.
That was the tipping point that made me realize that I needed to make a major change in my life and join the SANE program.
Since joining SANE, I have lost two inches from my waist and at my last physical, all of my test results are in the normal range. I have access to healthy, delicious recipes and have found a lifestyle that I can live with for the rest of my life.
SANE is different from anything that I have tried in the past because of the top-notch coaching I have received. It also has an informative and fun Step by Step learning program that I completed last month. I have finally found a diet that I can stick to and I know that I will not gain the weight back. Life is good.
The number one piece of advice that I would offer someone who is just starting out on their SANE journey is to stick to the program and listen to the advice of others.
