I realized that a change was needed when I was no longer happy with myself. All my clothes were too tight and I did not like what I would see in the mirror. I was saying out loud things to myself that I would never say to someone else.

Since discovering SANE, I feel good and look better. I have much more energy. The negative thoughts are pretty much a thing of the past!

SANE is different in a lot of ways from other programs I’ve tried. The concept is simple. Non starchy vegetables, high quality protein, whole food fat and low fructose fruit in that order. Good quality sleep and eccentric exercise. It doesn’t require absolute willpower to try and stick to like those strict intake type diet plans. It become just your lifestyle within very few weeks. My number one piece of advice to someone just starting on their SANE journey would be give yourself time to allow your body to start healing itself. Be patient, you’re absolutely worth it.

Mary’s SANE Success: Down 20lbs and Making Smarter Choices

My tipping point for making changes in my life came after I started not feeling well and realizing I had gained too much weight.

I have already lost 20 pounds and I am eating properly and getting the best nutrition for my body. I have realized eating nutritional foods every few hours and getting a better night’s sleep is helping me. I like having a variety of foods to eat, being able to make smarter snack choices, and the benefits of being consistent.

Marlene’s SANE Success: From Painful Joints to Happy and Healthy

“I have more energy and am losing weight.”

A few of my family members were taking steps to try and lose weight; but when my cousin had her stomach surgically made smaller I realized I needed to make a change in my own life. Since finding SANE I have more energy and am losing weight. I also noticed my joints don’t hurt as much anymore either.

SANE has a different exercise program than other things I’ve tried in the past. It’s also different by what types of foods are SANE and which ones aren’t. So I’ve been able to eat healthier and not feel deprived.

I have always struggled with my weight and my health wasn’t good so I decided to take major action in my life. Now, I feel better, have more energy and am happier.

SANE is different from anything else that I have tried in that you don’t have to feel guilty about “insane” foods on occasion. They also have tons of recipes that don’t taste like cardboard and people who are there for you to answer your questions.

What I like about SANE is that it is more of a lifestyle change. I can go out socially and not have to take my own food. I’m not counting calories, which doesn’t work long term.

If there was one thing I could tell someone just starting their SANE journey, is be patient with yourself. It’s a journey, not a race, and both you and SANE are here for the long run!

Jayne’s Story: From Sugar Addicted to Feeling Amazing

High blood sugar is what compelled me to take major action in my life.  Since discovering SANE, the way I eat has changed; my body is glowing with health.  I can wear my “skinny” shorts and I’m never hungry. I’m also no longer addicted to sugar.

SANE is different from anything that I’ve tried in the past as I can eat more and exercise less, but smarter.  Also, the communication forum on the website gives me great insights and encouragement. Sometimes we even laugh together.

The one piece of advice that I would give someone who is just starting their SANE journey is, “baby steps begin every great journey!”

There were several things together that made me realize I needed to take action and make some changes in my life; my son’s wedding, adventure travel trips, wanting to keep up with the grandkids and impending retirement.

Since discovering SANE, I feel a sense of accomplishment after having failed so often before. I feel better physically and mentally. I have the motivation to tackle other issues now as well!

Some of the things that I love about SANE compared to other programs I’ve tried in the past is that there is no counting, no weighing, and measuring. They have a truly supportive community and we focus on Progress, not perfection!
